Places in the world where you can receive healing from Mother Mary

Many years have passed but the love of the tender grace-filled Mother Mary is still among us, ever present till this day. She comes bearing gifts, messages, healing and a reminder of God's goodness. With her arms wide open to you, she asks for the blessing of being your mother, no matter what religion or nation you belong to. 
Here are some places around the world where her love and healing have been manifesting.

1- MEDJUGORJE
Medjugorje is a small village in Bosnia-Herzegovina where Mother Mary has been appearing continuously since 1981. What is rare is that, she has manifested repeatedly for 34 years now. Pilgrims from all over the world, come to pray and ask for her intervention. There have been many people that have been cured from countless diseases such as cancer, diabetes, arthritis, epilepsy and so much more. 

She first appeared to 6 children in 1981 and continues to come till this day giving them messages for the world. She has promised the 6 visionaries that she will leave an indestructible sign that no one will be able to deny.  In one of her latest messages she said, "Dear children, do not have hearts that are hard, closed and filled with fear. Permit my motherly love to illuminate them and fill them with love and hope; so that, as a mother, I may soothe your pains because I know them, I experienced them."

2- LOURDES
In February 11th 1858 a young poor servant girl named Bernadette Soubirous saw a beautiful lady dressed in white who eventually introduced herself as the "Immaculate Conception". The immaculate Mother Mary asked Bernadette to visit her for 15 days. In her ninth visitation she asked Bernadette to go and dig into the earth where a spring began to emerge. The waters from the spring are known for its healing properties.

Lourdes is one of the most beloved  and visited shrines in the world with over 5 million pilgrims a year. Many come to bath in its healing waters and  have healed from physical, emotional, mental and spiritual problems.  Below a is documentary about Lourdes.

3- FATIMA

Located in west central Portugal, in the region of Leiria and approximately 110 kilometers north of Lisbon, the small town of Fatima, three shepherd children Lucia dos Santos and her two younger cousins, Francisco and Jacinta saw a vision of shining woman as they tended their sheep. The children asked her who she was and she told the children that she comes from Heaven, During another visitation she told them that she was Mother Mary. The apparitions  began on May 13, 1917 and continued each month through October, always on the 13th.  

Mother Mary promised the children that in the last visitation she would show everyone a great sign from heaven so that all may believe. The last one, on October 13th, was confirmed by a miracle witnessed by 60,000 people known in the catholic world as “the day the sun danced”. 4- VAILANKANNI
Vailankanni is a small town on the south east coast of India on the shores of the bay. It is a quite little town with less than 1,000 residents that opens its arms to several thousands pilgrims on a daily basis. Some like to call it the "Lourdes of the East." All faiths are drawn to come and pay homage to Mother Mary. Most the pilgrims are not Catholic or Christian but still come to receive her help and grace.  She is known here as "Our Lady of Good Health."

​It all began  with apparitions of our Blessed Mother to a poor milk delivery boy more than 450 years ago. The second apparition is said to have happened in 1597, not far from Matha Kulam. A beautiful woman with a young child in her arms appeared to a young crippled boy selling buttermilk, after the apparition the young boy could walk again.

5- GUADALUPE
December 1531, Mexico. The Virgin Mary appears to a Indian humble peasant Juan Diego, but nobody believes in him. On her request the Indian wraps in his cloak some Castilian roses, mysteriously flowered on a bared scree. In front of the Bishop he opens the cap discovering the miracle: Instead of roses, the inside of Juan’s cloak was miraculously transformed into a deeply symbolic image of the Blessed Mother.
The image is extraordinarily real. The results of analysis are amazing. In the Virgin's eyes the 13 figures who witnessed the miracle are visible. The stars on her cloak are positioned exactly as they were in the miracle's day (12.12.1531). The colors keep intact, the cloth is uncorrected. 
Guadalupe world's third most-visited sacred site, Many people carry copies of the sacred image of her and have reported healings.

6- KNOCK
At about 8pm on the evening of 21st August 1879, Mother Mary, Saint Joseph and Saint John the Evangelist appeared at the south gable of the Paris Church at Knock in the small village of Count Mayo, Ireland. It was in a region of Ireland that suffered great distress with various famines and economic dislocations at that time.

Her visitation at that time was a great comfort. A number of villagers of diverse ages saw a silent apparition, which lasted about three hours. Ten days after the first apparition, the first cure occurred - a young girl born deaf regained her hearing. By the end of 1880, more than 300 cures were recorded.
Knock is known for taking very good care of the sick. Many healing miracles have happened over the years. One and a half million visitors trek there annually. Below is a documentary on Knock.

7- BANNEUX
It is here where Mother Mary promises to intercede for the poor, the sick and the suffering. Mary appeared eight times to Mariette Beco, aged 11, outside the family home at Banneux, a small village, in Belgium. 

The area was humid and swampy, which is why it was called "La Fagne", which means 'mud'. The name Banneux stems from the word 'banal' meaning 'common-place', the hamlet that was built on marshy land reserved for the poor. Hence Mother Mary told Mariette that she is "the virgin of the poor" and "I come to alleviate sufferings." Below is a lengthy version of the story of Mariette & Banneux. Five hundred thousand pilgrims visit the site of the apparitions every year. Over fifty miraculous cures have been documented at the spring.
